Big Top represents a revelation that came to Dickey, while convalescing, about the relationship between drum playing as a dance counterpoint to the center-melody.   The music and performances are excellent, especially Dickey's covers of Dolphy's The Prophet.  Almost 53 minutes of spirits, crossroads, junctions, and the spot that creates a light in us all.
