Downsizing Charles Waters (saxophones, clarinets, percussion) Roger Ruzow (trumpet, percussion) Chris Riggenbach (bass) Andrew Barker (drums, percussion) A Drimala exclusive..the second Gold Sparkle release that really began to define their sound. The interplay between Waters and Ruzow is very tight with Barker and Riggenbach continuing to drive the music forward. To our ears, Andrew Barker really is starting to come into his own on this recording. And, Waters' compositions, as we all know, will stand up against the best. Highly recommended for fans of the very cool, hard driving Braxton-bop sound. The sound is accessible without compromise. 10 tracks in 59:43 minutes If you like this cd, we think you might also enjoy listening to these other Gold Sparkle releases: Gold Sparkle Band Plays 2 by Shipp Fugues & Flowers (Gold Sparkle Band) |
