Gueule
de Loup This is the group's second recording (their first, double exposure, on Leo in 2000) finds their development as a working entity well underway. Each member of the band is a textural player as well as master of the improvised line. This means that improvisation and composition meet on a plane where it is hard to tell where one begins and the other ends. The music is constantly shifting between textures, rhythms, melody and harmony...with the whole being greater than the sum of the parts....but isn't that what jazz is? Comes with our highest recommendation. 9 tracks in 59:46 minutes :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: Slamadam (Moore, Reijseger, Dresser, Hemingway, Wierbos) Concert in Berlin, 1996 (Gräwe, Gustafsson, Tramontana, Mattos and Sanders) Melodie und Rhythmus (Gräwe, Gratkowski, Kessler, and Drake) Four In the Afternoon (Wren, Stabbins, Riley, Sanders) |
