Marcelo Radulovich is a sound and visual artist. His ability to perform various roles, as multi- instrumentalist, composer, and designer, allows him to produce at an uncanny pace. With 5 solo CDs to his credit, his unique sound and painterly graphics keep evolving and offering strong visions of an artist with an extensive vocabulary, and a rich palette. Throughout the years, Radulovich has been the guiding force behind such locally influential bands as The Playground Slap, Merry Go Down and La Maquina. He has played with many musicians/ improvisers (Mike Keneally, George Lewis, Le Quan Ninh, Burnett Anderson, Marcos Fernandes, Hans Fjellestad, Damon Holzborn, Scott Homan, Jonathan Glasier, and others) and ensembles (San Diego Art Ensemble, This Way Out, Ultra 7, League of Assholes). He is also one of the founders and organizers of the Trummerflora Collective, dedicated to creative music in San Diego. He has contributed music to independent films and industrial videos, produced his own solo albums, and co-produced CDs by Wormhole Effect (with whom he plays bass); Trummerflora, the San Diego experimental music compilation; the experimental Christmas collaboration, "...and the reindeer you rode in on," and most recently, produced "No Stars Please" by The Trummerflora Collective. A painter as well as graphic artist, he has been responsible for the packaging and design on many of Accretions' releases, and does commissioned work, most notably of late, a pair of stained glass windows for a synagogue in Poway, CA. |
HELLO Radulovich's latest production, HELLO, showcases audio, visuals, literature, live performance, and introduces the legend of TITICACAMAN: instrument maker, ignorant scientist. Composed of looped voice and samples, ruled by infectious essence shrouded in mystery, HELLO is uplifting and one of a kind. Comes highly recommended. Just when music seems to have hit an originality roadblock, along comes a musician like Marcelo Radulovich. -- The Scene The world would be far better for, or better with or by or...whatever the proposition...'twould be leaps and bounds better if this stuff got played in public places. -- Richard Meltzer, San Diego Reader More Accretions One Final Note Review :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: (case of the missing) Thumb (Marcelo Radulovich) 2 Brains (Marcelo Radulovich) The Whisper Chipper (Radulovich and Fernandes) N30 (Christopher DeLaurenti) A Table of Opposites (Greg Headley) Nouvelles (Jean-Marc Foussat) Au Coeur Du Litige (François Houle) Otra Musica (Guillermo Gregorio) No Fly Zone (Andrew Neumann) The Third Ear (Benzola) Sonic Nuggets (Zzaj, Konen, Russell, Tomshany) |
