Looking East: A Suite In Three Parts
   Raphe Malik (trumpet)
Sabir Mateen (tenor and alto saxophones,
                             flute, clarinet)
   Larry Roland (bass)
   Codaryl "Cody" Moffett (drums)

This recording firmly establishes Raphe Malik as the strongest trumpet player working today in creative new music.  The quartet delivers on Malik's compositions with a strength and finese that is so rare in today's world of economically forced co-op working groups.  If you don't buy any other cd this year, you must have this.  Comes with our highest recommendation.

Disc One: Parts One and Two:   57:23 minutes
Disc Two: Part Three and encore: :46:50 minutes
