Shaken
  Roland Ramanan (trumpet, flutes)
   Marcio Mattos (cello, electronics)
   Simon H. Fell (bass)
   Mark Sanders (percussion)

Trumpeter Ramanan has been quietly enriching the London jazz scene for some 15 years now.  On his debut cd as leader, he presents us with an extemely strong promise of much to come in the future.  Backed by a veteran cast of musicians, Ramanan delivers a recording that is much more in the European free jazz vein than most on Emanem.  This recording has a wonderful sense of passionate elegance about it.

Comes with our highest recommendation.
