In The Tone World William Parker and The Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra "Huey Jackson was an aspirting poet who grew up in the housing projects of the south Bronx. Influenced by the work of Samuel Beckett, he began to write poems ,short plays and essays. Huey envisioned a world where anything was possible. talking flowers, bright blue trees, green snowflakes agains a yellow sky. Everyone around Huey discouraged him from being a poet. But to Huey, the word, poet, was synonoymous with the words, human being. Huey continued to write until he passed away shortly before his 18th birthday. The Little Huey Creative Music Orchesta was founded in January 1994; it is commited to all those who are told not to dream. We exist for those who have had the flame of hope put out in their lives. All those torn apart by war, poverty, madness, loneliness, and hate. We also exist for those who come under the heading, human being." -- William Parker More AUM More Little Huey Orchestra :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: Spirit House (Moondoc's Jus Grew Orchestra) Emancipation Proclamation #1 (Jordan, Parker, Silva) Through Acceptance of the Mystery Peace (William Parker's Big Band) Wowow (NOW Orchestra) Raincoat In The River (Parker and the Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra) Plus Equals (Spontaneous Music Orchestra) Embracing the Void (Tsahar and the Zoanthropic Orchestra) Compositions for Creative Orchestra (George Lewis and the NOW Orchestra) Fuck de Boere (Brotzmann's Big Band) Mayor of Punkville (Parker and the Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra) |
