In One Full Metal Revolutionary Jazz Ensemble 7 in One features Dennis Warren's septet in "...a colorful dance -- and how it moves." (John Barrett, Jr., GMJM, Oct '99). Over 62 minutes in nine tracks, Warren's FMRJE is anything but metal. We are talking fluid motion driven by Dennis' percussion attack that takes the listener on a musical journey not quickly forgotten and rarely heard in much of today's cerebral aesthetics. There was a time when jazz was fun; when jazz was integral to the human fabric. Dennis Warren and the FMRJE has found that time again. "The band is breaking new ground. And the band is going into a new direction and its magnificent!" (Stu Vandermark, Cadence) If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: Horizon Event (FMRJE) Looking East (Raphe Malik Quartet) |
