Since 1994, the Organic Grooves Collective has been holding Friday night parties all over NYC.  People come to these weekly gatherings to hang out and to dance, but they mostly come to experience the music.   Created by a collective of DJs and musicians, the Organic Grooves sound blends live instrumentation with original tracks and mixes the tribal drum beats with contemporary sample techniques and electronics to create music that is totally offbeat adn completely unique.  It is a sound that gets under your skin and into your mind.

Black Cherry
   Organic Grooves

Leave it to the folks from AUM and William Parker to kick some the dust off and find a synergistic confluence where none seemingly existed.  By a stroke of sheer genius, our friend at AUM slipped Organic Grooves maestro DJ Sasha Crnobrnja (sir-no-burn-jah) a copy of Piercing the Veil.  With a little aid from fellow Codek members Zeb Zeb and Gregory and Takuya, the result is here and now.....Black Cherry.

Take Phil Waldorf's comments on the source and you understand "Piercing the Veil is a magical recording of two of the most soulful and spiritual voices in avant-garde jazz. This album is nothing short of essential."  Well  Black Cherry takes it to the next level making it even more essential.

Comes highly recommended for some serious mind bending attitude shifts!
