Cerebus
Erik Hinds (h'arpeggione, guitar, one-holer, banjo)

Cerebus is Erik Hinds' response to the inundation of overproduced music these days. As he states, "I've noticed along the path to finding my voice I don't sound like a robot when playing an unamplified stringed instrument alone at night. I hear little glitches and bumps, inconsistencies and hints of the unknown. More than that, I hear myself. Things I like, things that make me cringe, things that make me dream and hope.

Alice Coltrane once responded to critics by saying that her music is her gift to the world, and the world can do with it what they like. I agree, and in the face of commercial artistic pressures, I would add that I too can do with my music what I like.  This is my field music recording. Enjoy."
