Guitarist, composer, improvisor Scott Fields has been performing and recording around the globe over the last three decades. A native of Chicago, his earliest improvisations were influenced by the AACM. Although as a leader he performs with a number of line-ups, he calls them all The Scott Fields Ensemble, largely in homage to the Art Ensemble of Chicago. |
Dénouement The latest release from Geode Records, Dénoument, finds Scott Fields working in the context of various trio settings. The music is open full of space, lyrical, captivating, and highly conducive to deep listening. The trios pursue a sound that leaves one thinking of other world landscapes of beauty. 7 tracks in 71:58 minutes If you like this cd, we think you might also enjoy: this that (Scott Fields Ensemble) Hornet's Collage (Fields, Houle, Roebke) Fugu (Scott Fields Ensemble) Fables for A New Millennium (Dawkins, Parker, Drake, Radford) Ask the Sun (Drake, Zerang, Zerang, and Altany) Sponge (van der Schyff and Chris Tarry) Pieces of Time (François Houle, Dylan van der Schyff, Eyvind Kwang) Claque (Zerang, Lonberg-Holm, Dörner) Amen (Keith Yaun Quartet) |
