English Suites captures two of the finest performing artists today over an 11-month period.  Disc One was recorded in Chicago in January 1999 while Disc Two was recorded in Belgium in November 1999.  The counterpoint and dialogue between Vandermark on reeds and Lytton on percussion and live electronics is wonderful food for the mind, while reaching deep into the soul for continued nourishment.

This double CD set comes highly recommended.   Over 132 minutes of music that is not soon forgotten.
