More on John Butcher with his interview and discussion from One Final Note

Music On Seven Occasions, features John Butcher on tenor or soprano sax in what he refers to as "the brief encounter."  Joining Butcher are Gino Robair (percussion and preparations), Alexander Frangenheim (bass), Veryan Weston (piano), Thomas Lehn (analogue synthesizer), John Corbett (guitar), Jeb Bishop (trombone), Terri Kapsalis (violin), and Fred Lonberg-Holm (cello).

If you appreciate the spontaneity, excitement, and wonder of what is to come of the improvised solo and duo performance, you must have this recording of some of the best working today.  Makes an excellent bookend to Robair's Buddy Systems.

18 tracks on 72 minutes.
