Go: Organic Orchestra: 1
   Adam Rudolph (conductor, percussion)

Adam Rudolph assembled 25 musicians (including an 11-piece percussion section) one night last year for a live concert in Venice, California for this recording.  Those attending got a sense that something great was transpiring.  The music, rose like vines from Rudolph's written instructions and hand signals.  And it is truly organic -- a blend of gentle sustained dissonance, heaven-crashing rhythm jams, and individual improvisations, including the wordless wails of Dwight Trible.  A startling and involving development in roots music.

"If it's dead, where'd all this come from." -- Greg Burk, LA Weekly
