Takin' the Duke Out
  Dom Minasi (guitar)
   Ken Filiano (bass)
   Jackson Krall (drums)

This recording was of immediate interest to us...the idea of taking the Duke's standards outside.  Minasi brings a seriously fresh intepretation of classic Ellington compositions to this recording.   And it comes as no surprise.  It's not often you hear a guitarist compared to folks like Eric Dolphy, John coltrane, and Cecil Taylor, but Minasi is not your common type of guitarist.

For a nice change of a pace, you'll enjoy this.
