Boy Blues Tom Bruno (drums, piano, voice, dance) Best known as a member of the guerilla free jazz cooperative TEST, Tom Bruno's history on the NYC free music scene reaches back more than thirty years. White Boy Blues is a 1981 performance by Bruno as 'solo artist;' along with the drum kit, he plays piano, sings and dances. The musicality, hard-angled swing and unfussy attack that mark Bruno's drumming in TEST were already point blank in 1981, and his piano playing, dancing & vocalizing really get in there. An interesting contrast to some of the solo opuses produced by European free drummers of the same era. White Boy Blues is the first joint production between Eremite & New York City Artist's Collective.
