Freak Fest

Brain Trust is the debut recording from percussionists Stephen Chopek and Chris Lovejoy, both of whom currently perform with Charlie Hunter.   The cd is a sonic salad produced by a wide range of instruments, which coalesce above entrancing beats.

The recording features Charlie Hunter, Billy Martin and Danton Boller.  The pleasure Chopek and Lovejoy display for experimental music making gives the recording a carefree spin and brings to mind the Buddhist adage "Focus not on the destination, but the journey."  The cd speaks to the global infosphere in which we live today.
