White
Earth Streak White Earth Streak is the classic outsider recording. Originally issued in Davey and LaDonna's Transmuseq label in 1981 complete with a separately printed reproduction of Hal Rammel's comic book "Song of an Aeropteryx," this recording is a clear window on the state of free improvisation from the late 70s and early 80s. Williams and Smith, who were introduced by harpist, Anne LeBaron, were the vortex of a vibrant improvised music scene in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in the early 70s. This recording captures the time and feel of that period and is highly recommended, especially since so many of the recordings from that era have long disappeared. :::>>> Tell A Friend About This CD From Drimala If you like this cd, you might also enjoy listening to: one to (two) (Christmann and Gustafsson) Humdinger (Smith and Corbett) Temperament (Rose and Weston) Twofer (Corbett, Müller, Lonnberg-Holm) Phosphor (Beins, Bosetti, Dörner, Hayward, Krebs, Neumann, Renkel, Schick) Trombolenium (Rutherford) The Left Coast Improv Group (TLCIG) Lines (Denley, Dörner, Wachsmann, Mattos, Blume) River of Sounds (Bergman, Bauer, Maneri) Double Double (Wright, Rainey, Marsh, Lonberg-Holm) |
