Phosphor Phosphor is a project conducted by a new generation of musicians living in Berlin, all of them exploring recent trends of improv in acoustics and electronics. Every musician provides a range of tonal, noise, and intricate abstractions which the others work around. They face up to an exciting challenge: how to make improv without repeating old clichés and how to create a specific collective sounds without focusing on individualities. The result is an amazingly open spacious sound (considering the number of musicians interacting here) that forces you to listen and think. There are continuous surprises here that take you in most unexpected places. 6 tracks in 52:22 minutes.
