Spirits Entering The best jazz is folk music -- all artistic ambitions respected, a way humans come together in serious if often joyful interaction that's as immediate, specific, and expressive as a handshake, a conversation, an exchange of confidences. And like all folk arts, it's an open door through which the listener enters. Bang and El'Zabar conjure up a communion out of camaraderie and candor on this disc that makes it a serious listening pleasure. Comes highly recommended. 9 tracks in 59:48 minutes You might also enjoy listening to: If You Believe (Kahil El'Zabar, Billy Bang, Bluiett) Soul Folks (Frank Lowe Quintet) 19 Moons (Faruq Z.
