Okka
Disk From Bruno Johnson in Chicago, Okka Disk has both captured and defined the free jazz scene there. Launching the career of Ken Vandermark and documenting the music of other Chicago jazz legends, such as Fred Anderson, Okka has built a catalogue of over 30 recordings since 1993. The label has also done an excellent job in documenting the European free improvisation sound with folks like Peter Brötzmann, Mats Gustafsson, Georg Gräwe and, something entirely exclusive to Okka, the first all tenor solo recording by Evan Parker. We are extremely proud to bring you the complete available collection from Okka on these pages. The entire catelogue is a "must have" for all creative new music collectors and lovers of free jazz and improvised music.
